OnHim Vision / Mission

Churches within the church

1. Christ-centered
worship

All worship services and gatherings of Onhim Church are centered on Christ. The center of all sermons, praises, prayers, and testimonies, as well as all worship services and gatherings, should be our Lord Jesus Christ. We have resolved not to do any ministry that lacks Christ. Also, all our ministries are planned and executed within the framework of a Biblical worldview (Biblical worship). We are trying to prevent any worldly wisdom, morality, or self-improvement outside of the Bible from becoming the teachings of the church.

2. Calling upon God

  • House of prayer of all nations

  • House of prayer for all nations

Onhim Church wants to become a “praying church.” Our Lord said that the materializing generation has turned the temple of the Lord’s body into a den of robbers, and said, “My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations (Mark 11:17).”

Here, the house of prayer for all people can be interpreted in two ways.

First, it means "a house of prayer of all nations." This means that the church should be a gathering place for all nations. There may be the elderly, children, the poor, the sick, and foreigners. Onhim Church hopes to become a community where people from all walks of life gather together and pray as one.

Second, it means "House of prayer for all nations." This means that the church gathers together to pray for all nations. It means that our prayers aim to go beyond the barrier of 'me' and go towards 'us.' That is why Onhim Church, in cooperation with the missionary organization UPS Ministries, prays for the nations every Thursday as a missionary prayer.

3. Churches
in the church

  • CG (Church Group)

  • Interdependent small church (Interdependent small church)

Onhim Church considers the unity of the entire community in Christ as the most important. At the same time, it holds the unity of small churches and their ministry as one as its core value. Differentiating from the general small groups of “cells, synods, and ranches,” we aim to operate small churches within the church under the name of CG (Church Group). Therefore, small church CGs actively participate in worship services, take turns leading prayer/praise/testimony/sharing, and gather together to fill the space with discipleship training and meditation on the Word. Small churches independently conduct worship services, missions, retreats, etc. that general churches should do. We actively encourage the participation of laypeople so that the church does not become the exclusive property of full-time ministers. However, in order to prevent unverified non-theological approaches and divisions in the church, CGs always strive to become an “interdependent community” that is united and spreads within Onhim Church.

4. Caring for the
next generation

A church that serves the next generation

Onhim Church has set the next generation as one of its core values. It estimates the evangelization rate of the young next generation in Korea to be 3%. Considering that the evangelization rate of unreached people groups is 2% in missionary terms, the decline of the next generation of the Korean church is serious.
If there is no effort and dedication of the church for the next generation, the Korean church will face serious problems in 10 years. Therefore, Onhim Church is trying its best to serve the next generation. The next generation is called 'NewGen' and is planting the true gospel in them. Furthermore, at 'Goshen School', we are trying to raise leaders who learn worldly knowledge with a biblical worldview and who, like Daniel, clash with the world and win.

  • Leadership training (teacher)

  • Discipleship training

Onhim Church holds the highest core value of raising up “good stewards of the manifold grace of God (1 Peter 4:10)” in order to obey the Lord’s Great Commission. To this end, Onhim Church operates various training programs in conjunction with UPS Ministries. We are training disciples to establish a vision within a biblical worldview and raise true disciples who resemble Christ. At the same time, through leadership training, we strive to raise and discover leaders who will clash with the world and win like Daniel.
